This is a very important topic and the discussion needs to start…this vigil is being presented by the We Care Shop/St. Helen
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), teenager suicide is the third leading cause of death of individuals aged from 10 to 15. We as a community MUST do something to stop this! Our first step is to come TOGETHER. We need to create dialogue and communication not only with our children but amongst the adults. We as the adults are the example.
On Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 8pm we will join for a community vigil to not only remember a young man who lost his life this week but to begin the proper steps to come together as one to stop this from occurring again!
We will have speakers, open mic for those that would like to speak, a moment of silence to remember all of those young people we have lost, and will sell carnations to assist the Lahar Family with their tragic loss of their son ,Michael Joseph Lahar II, this week. Please come as you are, from home or work. We can only have strength in numbers.
